My grandfather used to have about 20 photo albums that he saved everything in. I can look at those albums and become aquainted with relatives long past. Mingus will grow to love all of the photos you take over the years and his children after that. One can see his spirit shinning through in the photographs you take of him.
I think this is one of my most favourite pics you've shown of Mingus. There's something about it...it's really beautiful. You've captured something extraordinary in that little moment. I dig the wee skinny sculptures too...are they your work?
Very cool photo. I take similar ones of Ethan, it's almost like... catching them in their natural state LOL. Pure innocence and joy. Because with Ethan as soon as he sees the camera he's got a cheezy grin and does something silly! That's my take on it anyways :)
I think taking pics of your kids when they don't expect it is the best. Off guard pics in general, its more life like. I also like to record my kids playing. Its so funny and makes you wish you could have that "pretend" state of mind like they do and not be considered insane. :) They are so creative at that age and us as parents have to feed that creativity so they don't lose it and it continues to grow. Awesome pic Norman!!
so stylish with his cool hat. nice picture!
